Permian Basin Workforce Grant
Effective February 17, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) which included funding for child care quality improvement activities. The Recovery Act provided supplemental Child Care and Development Funds: targeted funding for activities to improve the quality of child care as well as targeted funding for activities to improve the quality of infant and toddler care.
In October 2009, the Permian Basin Workforce Board contracted with Teaching Strategies to deliver training, materials, and resources through the ARRA funding. As a result of this partnership the following opportunities will be made available to eligible child care providers:
- ARRA Fall Conference | Application (PDF)
- Monthly 8-hour Pre-Service Trainings | Calendar and Registration (PDF)
- College Scholarships | Application (PDF)
- Funding to Expand Services to Infants and Toddlers | Application (PDF)
