Teaching Strategies provides curriculum and assessment materials for teachers of children from birth through prekindergarten. We also offer curriculum and training materials and parent resources for programs serving children through third grade. We believe teachers are decision makers in the classroom. Our curriculum materials are based on a solid foundation of scientific research and empower teachers to make good decisions. Curriculum
For young children, meaningful and long-lasting learning requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work. This is best accomplished through purposeful play facilitated by highly intentional teaching practices.

The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos is a comprehensive curriculum that helps teachers achieve the very best program for children under three. If the interactions children have are nurturing, consistent, and loving, and the experiences they have are appropriately challenging, then infants, toddlers, and twos grow and flourish.
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool provides the what, why, and how of teaching preschool children. It is a comprehensive curriculum that defines for teachers what content to teach, why the designated content and skills are appropriate for young children, and how to teach effectively.

Assessment
We believe that assessing individual and group progress is the key to planning programs that respond to the needs, interests, and abilities of children in any classroom. With ongoing assessment, teachers can focus on all aspects of a child's development.
Assessment should be linked directly to the curriculum being used. Observation-based assessment enables you to
- Use the goals and objectives of the curriculum to know what to teach
- Evaluate children's learning and development
- Use the information to guide children to the next step in development
The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos has 21 objectives that help teachers by providing a comprehensive picture of how children develop in four developmental areas: Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive, and Language.
The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Ages 3-5 is a road map for determining where each child is developmentally, for following each child's progress, and for planning learning experiences.
