At Teaching Strategies we believe that authentic, ongoing assessment of children in any early childhood program is the key to planning appropriate learning experiences that respond to children's individual interests, learning styles, and abilities.
Our assessment system helps you conduct an authentic, observation-based assessment whether you are using The Creative Curriculum® or another curriculum approach. Simply put, with Teaching Strategies GOLDTM you'll know what to look for and how to support children's continued development and learning.
Having a solid picture of individual children's progress makes it easier to focus your observations and to consider the whole child. You'll find this particularly useful when partnering with families to plan how best to support their children's development and learning.
You can choose a Web- or print-based assessment system that best suits the way you like to work. Either way, your program will be able to track individual and group progress and know exactly how well you're meeting children's needs. You can then use that information to generate detailed reports, make informed decisions, and plan responsively.
