Technology: When children explore technology they learn to appreciate the tools and inventions we use every day. Teachers build on children's natural inclination to explore, invent, and make things. As they design machines or inventions, they handle tools and solve problems. Children use computers to support the writing process, solve problems in simulation exercises, communicate, and access information.

The Arts: In the arts, children explore a variety of media. Teachers incorporate art, drama, music, dance, and construction to develop appreciation for different forms of expression and to support learning differences.
