eCDA is an online Child Development Associate (CDA) preparation program that combines self-paced and instructor-facilitated learning. This interactive, engaging professional development opportunity is perfect for entire programs or individuals.

The eCDA program is made up of 13 modules, which are based on the CDA competency standards in the United States and teach the basic entry-level skills all early childhood professionals must possess.

Each eCDA module consists of:

  • three to five online, interactive exercises
  • an online knowledge assessment
  • related off-line follow-up activities

The online component leads users through a series of practical scenarios in which participants resolve problems similar to those they encounter on the job. The off-line component includes brief readings and classroom-based follow-up activities.
