The "Caring for..." Series Overview

Help teachers acquire the basic skills and competencies of the early childhood education profession with training materials from the "Caring for..." series. It's a practical, easy-to-implement approach that's appropriate for both new and experienced staff. 

With readings and learning activities that help build skills and knowledge, each set of books is organized into modules reflecting the 13 functional areas of the CDA Competency Standards that form the core of accreditation and credentialing programs. Modules can be used for individualized staff development, in college courses, or as a workshop focus.

Each book has an accompanying Trainer's Guide, offering specific suggestions for implementing the program and providing feedback to staff. Caring for Infants & Toddlers and Caring for Preschool Children also have an accompanying Skill-Building Journal, containing self-assessments and learning activity forms.
