Arranging On-Site Professional Development Services

Because effective implementation of The Creative Curriculum® system requires on-going professional development support, Teaching Strategies works with programs to develop a customized plan that includes

  • assessment of programmatic needs
  • product education and selection
  • on-going professional development services

Providing customized professional development services allows us to help programs ensure that their staff members have the skills and resources they need to implement the curriculum successfully. Typically, the same staff development specialist works with the organization to provide continued support.

The most efficient way to begin the assessment process is to complete our On-Site Professional Development Needs Assessment Form.

The Next Step

Once your completed assessment form has been submitted, a Professional Development Department staff member will contact you to discuss your professional development goals in greater detail. The information you provide helps us select one of our Staff Development Network Trainers for your program.

The trainer will then

  • develop a customized agenda for your professional development sessions
  • discuss the logistics of your sessions, including hours, room arrangement, audiovisual needs, etc.

In the weeks preceding the training session, you will receive a contract and handouts to download and copy for your participants. As the client, you will be contacted via email with a surveey about the process, the session, the materials, and staff implementation of new content.

On-Site Professional Development Costs

The basic costs of inviting one of our Staff Development Specialists to work with your organization are:*

2 days - $2465/day
3-9 days - $2375/day
10 + days - $2225/day

*Please call for pricing outside of the continental US. These costs are inclusive of all travel costs for our trainers.

Payment

Payment is due when the session is completed. Teaching Strategies will send an invoice within 30 days of the completed session. The invoice will include the cost of the professional development session; travel is included in the pricing. Books and materials may be included in the contract price or invoiced separately.

Staff Development clients are eligible for a 20% discount on all Teaching Strategies books. The discounted cost of materials may be built into the cost of the professional development session, or the discount may be applied to purchases made for a limited time after the session.
