Anyone who has been through a hurricane knows the preparedness routine: gather the batteries, flashlights, portable radios or televisions, an ample supply of drinking water, non-perishable foods, medications, baby food, diapers, and other supplies. Considering the emotional needs of children should be an important part of any preparedness checklist.
